I was having a business lunch today at a very cute Italian restaurant in Frankfurt, when something interesting caught my eye. The green S.Pellegrino bottle on out table had a unique design on it, which is normally not there. Upon closer examination, I saw their traditional red 5-point star, surrounded with illustrated figures of women eating, drinking and carrying a breadbasket with baguette in it. How lovely and intriguing.
So of course being the curious cat that I am, I had to investigate further. Apparently this is a special edition bottle that is dedicated to Vogue Italia. What a wonderful cooperation: Fashion meets health. But wait, it gets even better!
S.Pellegrino is hosting a competition called the “S.pellegrino Young Chef 2015” on June 25-26th, in Milano, during the Expo. For this reason, Vogue Italia has gone into this wonderful cooperation, and both will give a chance for young talented chefs and designers from all over the world to show their magic and win the grand title. Their challenge is to come together and make a wonderful composition of taste, art and fashion. Wow what a great chance for young people to show what they’re made of – a true once in a life-time, dream chance!
The most thrilling part of the event – the finalists selection – will be done by a group of well-known food connoisseurs, and the young fashion talents will be chosen by the editorial staff of Vogue Italia themselves. That will be quite a dramatic event. I am really looking forward to that.
Bravo to both S.Pellegrino & Vogue Italia for supporting and giving young people a chance to achieve success and show their unique talent worldwide! I pay great respect to you and support your kindness.

Whoever says that Frankfurt is not chic, has obviously never been to the Goethestrasse, which boasts store after store of the best couture brands in the world. Last Friday the highlight was the Versace store, presenting its spring summer 2015 collection.
It has been a week filled with glamour and Champagne for me, and my visit to Versace did not change that. I was greeted at the door by the elegant Emanuela Canto, the store manager of Versace. I could see that she was preparing for a while for this dazzling event, running around with a sparkle in her eyes and mesmerizing the guests with her melodic Italian voice.
I wanted to capture all of my favorite outfits for your dear readers, so I didn’t take a seat at the show. Instead, I stood at the end of the runway, waiting for each model to strut seductively towards me so that I can photograph each look directly from the front. I absolutely adore to make my own photos and show you personally what my eyes see. As usual, the Versace models were as gorgeous as ever – tall, young, sexy and straight from Milano – to show us how these beautiful outfits can be worn and shown off.
The main colors for the season were pastels, black, white and some splashes of color, used to accent the details. There were many geometrical patterns to be seen, as well as some glittering material that flicked like diamonds when the models walked underneath the spotlight. Some pieces had long skirts on the front and back, yet revealing the entire left leg, all the way up to the thigh. Versace is definitely making sure that it will be a very hot summer this year – including lots of bare stomachs for the ladies. Talk about sensuality in the form of clothing! What I loved were the many a-line short dresses, which took me back to the 60s, yet had a sharp modern touch.
As the show ended, many of the women were already running up to Manuela, waiting to secure their favorite outfit in their size. I made my way to a soft black leather jacket, hanging seductively in the front area of the store and quietly calling my name. Those who know me, know about my passion for tight leather jackets. This particular one is a beauty that must live in my closet.
I had a very nice chat with the models and they told me that this collection was one of their favorites in the past years. I definitely agreed. The time was running like speed of light and Cinderella had to leave the Versace Ball, thankfully with both shoes on, plus a nice little present for later. Thank you dear Emanuela Canto for a wonderfully organized event and brining the Italian flair to our mini cosmopolitan city with a big attitude!
I have to start this article by stating that not only does LOVOO know love, but they can also throw a wild unforgettable party that will leave you begging for more. I set off on Tuesday to Barcelona not knowing what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised! LOVOO was having their first WE❤MOBILE event, together with Adjust, during the mobile world congress.
Upon arrival at the Shoko club on the beach shores of Barcelona, I was greeted by two flame jugglers on stilts. As I stepped out of the black car, their mesmerizing flames lured me into the venue. I was welcomed by the friendly LOVOO staff, already waiting with a cold glass of Champagne and was shown the club downstairs. The location was very beautiful, with three large bars, a dancing area, 3 VIPs areas and a nice green garden terrace. The people gathered in the enclosed terrace, eager to discuss the recent achievements and success of LOVOO – which currently has 25 million registered users. As we can see, the quest for love has never died, it just shape shifted to fit our new era – love online.
The first thing that caught my eye were the gorgeous half-naked ladies waking around the club and entertaining the guests. One was more beautiful than the other and even a blind man would turn around to gaze open-mouthed at them. Servers dressed in black were making their rounds with delicious tapas on their trays. There was a sushi bar, cheese buffet and Serrano ham freshly cut for each guest. Every few minutes new scrumptious dishes were offers to us, along with any drink our heart desired. They took really good care of us and made all the guests feel welcomed. My favorite was the mini burgers with red buns! The red buns matched the spicy red-hot love party. More people were arriving and the networking started. I met many interesting people form around the world, who represented a variety of industries from tech startups, app creators, actors, CEOs, writers, bloggers, entrepreneurs, investors, mobile pros, techies, programmers, sales executives, models, rappers, etc. Including me, “the secret agent of love” – walking incognito and researching amongst them.
After a few hours of networking, eating and drinking, Shoko filled up and everyone moved to the dance floor. Even the flame jugglers were dancing in the middle of the crowed. I noticed that many people had their LOVOO app on, looking for potential matches at the event. Some men wrote me and it was fun trying to recognize them inside the party. That’s the good thing about the live-radar function, you can see who is directly around you, send them little flirty messages, and see where it leads you. A super fun idea to use the app at the event – everyone enjoyed the mix of networking and flirting!
Then all of a sudden the lights got dimmer and a familiar voice started singing in the darkness. It was Ryan Leslie, doing was he does best, rapping his lyrics and making the people wild for his sound. The girls were screaming and the guys looked on with admiration. He definitely has a special aura around him. The beautiful hostess girls doubled up as go-go dancers, and made a circle around Ryan. The people went crazy. Forget Vegas, and welcome to the LOVOO party in Barcelona! I was very impressed by his performance and that he flew to make this private show for LOVOO – that definitely says a lot about this special dating app – everyone loves it. I could not stop dancing for hours. I felt it the next day after rocking the dance floor the entire night in 13 cm heels – always a sign of a good party.
As I was leaving the club, I was flashed by the huge amount of people at 3am in front of Shoko. Apparently everyone wanted to be at the LOVOO party, and it was definitely the best event happening in Barcelona that evening. A girl outside begged me to give her my VIP wristband. I tried to get it off for her, but it was on tight and I ended up sleeping with it. What can I say, LOVOO you guys rock. Thank you very much for inviting me to a fantastic event that I will remember for a long time. It exceeded all of my expectations and was definitely worth flying a thousand miles for. Bravo for being not only the love experts, but also the pros of bringing people together – LOVOO connects lives. As I mentioned last week, this app is definitely worth trying. I met some very nice people on there and I can recommend it for some nice potential dates as well. You never know, your soul mate might be LOVOOing at the same time as you are, so go online and find her/her. Good luck and have fun!
Frankfurt came alive again last Thursday night to celebrate Ghezal Immobilien’s 15 years of success in the real estate industry. The glamorous event took place at the Westhafen Pier 1, a modern glass building situated directly at the river Main.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by two strong men, who ushered us onto the red carpet and into the venue. The first thing that caught our eye was the massive collection of Moët & Chandon magnum bottles aligned teasingly at the bar, waiting to be enjoyed. I heard a lady behind me say with excitement, “Wow, this will be a really good party.” And yes indeed, this was quite the wonderful event – only the best for Ghezal’s 15 years of triumph.
With a nice rosé champagne in our hand, we entered the party in anticipation of a lovely evening. We were definitely not disappointed! There were severs walking around with delicious little dishes of various tastes. Of course being the curious ladies that we are, we tried everything that was offered and loved it. We ate everything from a philly cheese steak sandwich, to gnocchi in fresh cream, an exotic mango salad and more. The best part were the Dunkin’ Donuts with Ghezal’s logo on them – a very cool and delicious idea.
We rocked the dance floor with the help of the amazing band, “Laura Martin & Spanish Music Mafia” who played hit after hit, and did not allow us to leave the dance floor without properly using our dancing shoes and a nice full body workout. Laura Martin, the lead singer, has a beautiful voice and is a very talented young lady. Later on there was a live violin player, accompanying the DJ with his cool track selection.
We couldn’t help but notice that all the women were dressed very well, and some even had ball gowns on. Hey Frankfurt, you can really show off your glamorous and posh side when you want to! The men were dressed in fine suits and the Frankfurt celebrities had fun mingling with the rest of the guests.
Ghanem Ghezal is known nationally for his TV career on VOX with the show “Mieten, Kaufen, Wohnen” He is the first real estate sales man on the TV show and has been doing it for 8 years now.
He accomplished a lot since the young age of 18, and is currently the leader of 3 real estate offices. The wonderful thing about Mr. Ghezal is that even due to his successful career, he stayed very authentic and down to earth.
The mastermind behind this fabulous event was Ioana Andrei of Minemedia International. What can I say Ms. Andrei, you have really outdone yourself. It was perfectly organized, with a lot of attention to details and everything went quite smoothly. The guests were very happy, the Ghezal Gentlemen were breakdancing on the dance floor and having the time of their life, the celebs were genuinely smiling and I had fun taking it all in. Thank you Ghezal Immobilien for a perfect Thursday evening in my favorite city.
