Hello my dear Beauties,

One day not too long ago, I went out on an adventure looking for something exciting. Being the curious rebel that I am, I came back with a little secret purple bottle, filled with a magical youth potion. I was excited. After all, who wouldn’t want to look younger at our age? What have I stumbled upon, what is this magnificent sorcery?

You know my obsession for healthy skin, I have written about it time and time again. After being called “Salami Pizza Face” in high school for so many years due to my horrendous acne, I wasn’t going to take any chances. I started a happy-skin ritual in my 20s and never missed a day smearing something “helpful” on my face. I have very thin and sensitive skin, so finding anything that truly works for me was more difficult than the discovery of electricity!

Lately I have been reading and researching a lot about Hyaluronic Acid. As we get older, our skin cannot hold onto the moisture so well, therefore it needs this type of acid for the anti-aging effects to stay supple, hydrated, plump and wrinkle-free. That’s exactly why I love my new discovery.

My new purple “Magic Serum”, officially known as the H.A. Intensifier by SkinCeuticals corrects and amplifies the skin’s hyaluronic acid levels by 30%. I obtained a bottle a few weeks ago to try it out and write my honest opinion about it. For those who know me, I am a very tough critic and usually not many skin products survive my judging eye. I was very surprised that my snobby and arrogant skin loved this product and didn’t breakout in a thousand hideous pimples.

I prefer to use the serum at night, so the first evening I applied it, I was curious and excited about what would happen the next day. Usually with product tests, I wake up to a shiny pizza face, with extra cheese on it, smiling mischievously at me in the mirror. However this time, I woke up to a fresh, clean and bright face. I was really impressed that just overnight I already felt the firmness! I also applied the serum on my lips, and they felt thicker and more luscious the next day. My skin started glowing within a week. I saw the moisture come back and literally felt the happiness deep within the skin cells themselves.

Truth be told, I’m a real nerd and like to get to the bottom of things as to why and how they happen the way they do. Therefore after delving into the facts, I found out that the H.A. Intensifier is made out of these important ingredients: 10% Proxylane, which supports the skin’s hyaluronic acid levels to help improve the appearance of skin firmness. 2.0% Licorice Root Extract + 0.2% Purple Rice Extract that work together to help preserve hyaluronic acid content in skin. The last and most important ingredient is 1.3% Hyaluronic Acid, which provides long lasting hydration to improve the look and texture of skin.

These elements put together zap away the nasolabial folds, which are the unfriendly lines around the mouth that we all hate, crow’s feet and those nasty marionette lines that make one look like a wooden babbling doll. Don’t feel bad about it, we all have these annoying gravity vices that eventually get us all, however, we now have a purple galactic weapon to defeat these bullies!

I love that it’s really easy to use and is paraben and dye-free, which is ideal for all skin types. Easy to apply, once or twice daily, 4-6 drops to the palm of the hand and dab onto forehead, cheeks, chin, and neck. Don’t be shy darling, blend it in. And that’s it, easy as a piece of cake!

A few days ago I went to a magazine launch event and bumped into a girlfriend whom I haven’t seen in ages. She looked at me astonishingly and said, “Wow Galia, you look incredible. Your skin looks like porcelain! What did you do? Did you get anything done? Come on tell me!” I looked and smiled, knowing that the serum was really working! Since we are pretty much in the process of reversing roles, with women growing balls and men getting in touch with their feminine side, the concept of Botox for men fits perfectly into this chaotic world. However, what I do find excellent is that women these days are looking younger and younger. If you compare a 50-year-old woman today to the ones in the 1950s, it’s like day and night. Since we have started looking at least 10 years younger, and have excellent jobs and salaries, we can allow ourselves to have handsome younger men on our sides as well!

Gone are the days when women have to have an older man to support and take care of them. So what does that mean for the older men? It means that they have to keep up with a younger appearance and make more effort to stay in the game. The wallet and cars don’t get us women anymore. Today, even most of the younger girls date men their own age and not run to the older daddy-type for money. Women are taking younger lovers, and men are using Botox to catch up. Wow, we have come a long way. Bravo.

My friend Heather stared dating a new guy a few weeks ago. I have to admit that he looked good for his 45 years. The problem is that he is a show off. He prances around in his Jag, drops names of important people to impress her, and shows off about his food and wine knowledge in front of the waiter in the expensive restaurants. This annoys her to death. A week ago she wanted to eat a normal burger and fries, and he was appalled by the idea. Everything always has to be over the top with him. His extreme desperation to look younger shocked heather, and it turned her off completely. She came crying to me, saying that he is not normal. What is normal today? To this guy, getting Botox was normal. I told her to accept him as he is or move on. Forcing a person to adapt to your morals and way of living is not normal or healthy either. She decided to stop dating him because she found his behavior to not be masculine enough. I told her that I collect robots and love old timers, and that’s not ultra feminine either. We cracked up on the floor and had a laughing attack about the confusion of this world and her Botox monster.

I think that unfortunately it’s a new trend and many more men will be getting Botox soon, but never admitting it. It started with the manicure and pedicure for men some years ago, and now there is no stopping the wheel of terror. Dear men, please save yourselves before it’s too late! You don’t need Botox. We like you looking wrinkly and manly. Instead of investing in plastic surgery, please buy a horse, some heavy cowboy gear and go riding. Come back to us after spending a few dirty days in the desert with a 3-day beard on your face and get your old masculine grin back. And please, step away from the needle.

Men that use Botox and women that earn an incredible amount of money, looking younger and better than them with the same age, wearing pants and collecting robots! I wonder if Aldous Huxley ever imagined in 1932 that it would actually come to this. Forget his brave new world and welcome to our crazy parallel universe. He would be so proud now.
